This website was *ahem* inspired by the Wapdrom flash application from 2003. I really liked the aesthetic and wanted to see if I could do the equivalent with just basic HTML/CSS/JS. So far it has worked. Credit must be given to Stanislav Gazikalovic(?) for their work.

I think the "Y2K/metalheart aesthetic" reminds me of my formative years on the early web. I don't want to see that style fade away. While user accessibility is often the cost of keeping it around, I think a balance can be found so that not every website or app feels like they are all using the exact same style guides. Unique and individual designs are great for personal websites like my own.
